Eligibility Criteria for RBI Summer Internship 2025
The RBI Summer Placement Program is available to students who are:
- In the Last year of their course.
- Pursuing any of the following educational programs:
- Postgraduate Courses: Management, Statistics, Law, Commerce, Economics, Econometrics, Banking, or Finance.
- Integrated Five-Year Programs: In Management, Statistics, Law, Commerce, Economics, Econometrics, Banking, or Finance.
- Three-Year Full-Time Bachelor Degree: Specifically in Law from reputed institutions in India.
How to Apply : Step-by-Step Application Process
Eligible students should submit their application through RBI’s official web-based form. Here’s how you can apply:
- Application Window: The application period opens on October 15 and closes on December 15 of the preceding year. For instance, students wishing to apply for the 2025 summer internship should apply between October 15 and December 15, 2024.
- Online Form: Candidates should fill out all details accurately, especially the state of their educational institute, as this will determine the control office for their placement.

RBI’s summer placement program is hosted at various RBI offices across India. Applicants are assigned a location based on their institution’s state. Below is a list of RBI control offices:

Selection Process RBI Summer Placement Program 2025
- A maximum of 125 students are selected each year.
- Shortlisted candidates are interviewed in January or February.
- Selected candidates are notified by February or March.
- Outstation candidates are reimbursed for AC II Tier return train fare between their institution and their assigned office.
RBI Summer Placement Program 2025 : Duration and Facilities
The internship duration is a maximum of three months, typically from April to July.
Selected interns receive a monthly stipend of ₹20,000.
Accommodation arrangements are the responsibility of outstation candidates.
